Dear colleagues,

Welcome to the Department of Reinforced Concrete and Masonry Constructions!

Engineering and concrete became synonyms long ago. It is impossible to imagine any contemporary construction without using concrete as it is one of the most widespread and common building materials. At the same time concrete is an extremely complex composite material with a wide range of unique features. Concrete is successfully used in various climate and exploitation conditions, it is harmoniously combined with the environment, has unlimited resource basis and relatively low cost. We should also mention architectural and engineering expressiveness and an opportunity for using local resources and utilization of technology wastes after its production, exploitation reliability, low energy consumption and environmental safety. It is obvious that concrete will remain leading material among others.

The department staff consists of highly skilled Doctors and PhDs who train not only Bachelors and Masters but also supervise postgraduate students. The staff has trained numerous specialists for Asia, Africa, and Latin America.

The students use computers with modern calculation software (SCAD, ANSYS, MicroFE, LIRA) and computer graphics is being implemented.

The department cooperates with leading North-Western construction organizations. It also has relations with Ministry of Architecture and Construction of Belarus.

I wish all our students to successfully graduate from the University and become highly qualified professionals in engineering.
