Welcome to the page of Department of Geodesy, Land Management and Cadastres!
Students of the department get Bachelor Degrees in the fields of:
- Construction;
- Land Development and Cadaster;
Master’s Degree students study:
- Land Development and Cadaster;
- Urban Development and Common Facilities
The department has researched:
- inherent settlement of various constructions (the television tower, the broadcasting center; the Kirov and Obukhov State Plants, the Kazan cathedral, the Moscow triumphal arch, Mariinsky and Aleksandrinsky theatres)
- capacity growth issues on Saint-Petersburg road network
- restoration and technical review of historical buildings of Saint-Petersburg central areas
- domestic waste recovery and seasonal urban areas cleaning
- cadastral registration issues.
The department is equipped with modern devices for linearly-angular and high-rise measurements (electronic tachometers, theodolites, levelling instruments, reflectorless distance meters, the laser scanner, the satellite equipment) together with computers and multiplying equipment for processing of measuring results.
The department has creative partnerships with University of Architecture, Building and Geodesy (Sofia, Bulgaria) and University of Montenegro (Podgorica, Montenegro), Mikkeli University of Applied Sciences (Mikkeli, Finland). Together with University of Architecture, Building and Geodesy (Sofia, Bulgaria) the department organizes student practice. The students get acquainted with unique constructions, modern techniques and ways of geodetic work and visit historical monuments of architecture.
Annually students do scientific research projects in the form of reviews and articles. The most significant ones are published in the University journal and others. The alumni work in engineering companies, building organizations and management companies of Saint-Petersburg and Leningrad Oblast.
