Monitoring of graduates employment

SPbGASU Employment Promotion Service for Students and Graduates regularly monitors the employment of university graduates, collects information, processes it and provides it to the university management and other interested parties.

Monitoring graduate employment involves three steps:

  1. Forecast: in April we collect data from departments regarding plans for further employment, current job (if any) for each graduate and their contact information.
  2. Employment review: in June (at the time of graduation), through the Moodle system, we collect information on the current place of work (if any) and the need to facilitate employment.
  3. Employment support: in September we check the data of the departments about the current place of work of graduates and the need to facilitate their employment.

The data obtained are statistically processed and analyzed. The management of SPbGASU uses them in order to improve the structure and quality of training. The data is also provided to federal and regional authorities.

Of the 2019 graduates:

77% work in their specialty or continue their studies at SPbGASU.

70% students from other regions are employed.

76% working graduates found jobs in St. Petersburg, and

24% work in other regions.

Our service began its operation at SPbGASU in 2004. The main goal of the service is to assist in the employment of graduates through cooperation with the construction industry and to increase the demand for SPbGASU students and graduates.

The activities of our service are regulated by the Regulation on the Promotion of Employment and Engagement of Students and Graduates of SPbGASU

The main tasks of the service are:

  • Assistance in the employment and career development of SPbGASU students and graduates
  • Establishing and maintaining relations with potential employers and partner organizations
  • Coordination of work on interaction between the structural divisions of SPbGASU with potential employers and partner organizations
  • Collection of information and provision of documentation on employment issues.
