On February 24, 2015 in Saint Petersburg state university of architecture and civil engineering there was held “Tekla’s Day in SPSUACE”. In the assembly hall of the academic council vice-rector for academic activity Irina R. Lugovskaya greeted all participants and focused attention on the importance of increasing the education level of students, especially mastering skills in innovation programme products.

During the seminar the commercial director of Tekla Russia D.V. Kuptsov told about the programme products of the company. The corporation develops and offers programme software based on technologies of information modelling for such industries as engineering, energetics and infrastructure management. It is based on the technology of information modelling of buildings – BIM, using which one can update data, control it and use in various formats (3D model, 2D drawings, specifications and reports). This software complex can be used by several users simultaneously. For instance, to create a 3D model, prepare if for drawing, specify all necessary ties and joints, issue drawings and specifications, analyze results and coordinate it with the client. 

The second part of the programme of “Tekla Day in SPSUACE” included a work-shop. For students it was really a very exciting seminar, during which students could use the software and create a 3D model and a 2D drawing of a building.
