On 21 March, the Department of Structural Physics, Power Engineering and Electrical Engineering held a meeting of the thematic section as part of the National (All-Russian) scientific and practical conference “Modern technologies in engineering systems and urban services”. Reports were made by students of SPbGASU, National Research University "MIET" and Ivanovo State Energy University named after V.I. Lenin.

The meeting addressed issues of grounding in permafrost conditions, lightning protection, alternative energy sources, the use of neural networks in the power industry, design and modernization of electrical equipment for various needs. Also, Igor Myalkovsky, manager of the ETM company for interaction with universities and industry training centers, spoke at the section. He spoke about digital transformation in industrial electrical engineering.
