On October, 21 in the Town-hall of the Muhlhausen administration (Germany) there was held a grand ceremony of   opening the exhibition dedicated to 150-year anniversary of Vasily A. Kosiakov – architect, artist, engineer, scientists, teacher and the first elected rector of the Institute of civil engineers and marking the 180-year anniversary of SPSUACE.

This remarkable event was also attended by the delegation from Saint Petersburg state university of architecture and civil engineering at the head of the first vice-rector of SPSUACE Sergey A. Evtyukov, prof. Yury P. Panibratov, head of the Chair of Drawing Gennday E. Rusanov, prof. Valentina V. Prokofieva and manager of the Department of international education and cooperation Elena V. Shalneva.

At the meeting first vice-rector of SPSUACE Sergey A. Evtyukov greeted the organizers and guests of the exhibition and thanked the organizers. Sergey A. Evtyukov talked about development of friendship relations and cooperation in culture area between Saint Petersburg and Muhlhausen, which has already resulted in this unique exhibition.

The organization of the exhibition included a time-consuming work which consisted in selection of the necessary material, documents and photo from the archives of the Museum of history of SPSUACE. Design and contents of the exhibition posters were discussed with the creators of the exhibition - staff of SPSUACE and German colleagues – representatives of the famous architectural and restoration studio of Muhlhausen Ditriech Hose, owner of the company – and Soeren Hose, design engineer and chief junior of the company. It is them who met our delegation in Germany and attended all events organized within the frame of this cooperation program. The exhibition was also organized by the Noncommrcial partnership “Fund of the world heritage conservation”, information producer centre “Square of art”, art group of photographers from Kronstadt and engineering and construction company “Neva-Invest-S” represented by general director Mikhail G. Nikiforov.

As a result of the work there were prepared 14 posters telling about the life, art, and projects of the famous architect V.A. Kosiakov so that citizens of Muhlhausen, numerous tourists and visitors coming from other cities to see the unique exhibition presented by our university will be able to get acquainted.
