On October, 30 and 31 Chair of Life Safety of SPSUACE held the scientific-practical conference “New requirements to provision of life safety in construction”. One of the targets of the conference was to solve problems connected with provision of life safety in construction and at the objects of transport infrastructure in correspondence with the requirements of the Urban Development Code of the Russian Federation.
The conference gathered 65 participants among whom there were representatives of various higher educational institutions of Saint Petersburg, teachers and students of SPSUACE, staff of external organizations. Among the participants there were deputy head of the UMK SZFO TB, PhD in engineering, head of the chair of life safety of Saint Petersburg state polytechnic university S.B. Efremov D.Sc. in engineering, professor O.N. Rusak; professor of the chair of life safety of Saint Petersburg state polytechnic university, D.Sc. in engineering, K.R. Malayan; associate professor of the chair of ergonomics of Saint Petersburg state university, PhD in engineering V.V. Milokhov; PhD in engineering, deputy head of the chair of production safety of National mineral resources university “Gorny” A.N. Nikulin.
At the beginning of the conference dean of the Faculty of Environmental Engineering and Municipal Services T.A. Datciuk and academic secretary of the Education and Methodics Association of higher educational institutions of Russia (university polytechnic education) N.Yu. Egorova greeted participants of the conference. In the course of the conference there were made reports according to the conference program. Most interesting of them were reports made K.L. Petrukhina, E.A. Yamoldinova and V.L. Gorokhova, dedicated to peculiarities of modern building technologies, specific traumas got during construction works and further rehabilitation, as well as innovation approaches to organization of information centre for control of treatment of solid wastes in Leningrad region. Head of the chair of life safety Vitaly V. Tsaplin made a report “History of establishment and development of the chair of life safety of SPSUACE: problems and tasks”.
In the course of the conference there also functioned the Education and Methodics Committee of the North-Western federal region in technosphere safety.
At the end of the conference participants made a decision to hold such conferences every year and to upgrade its level up to the international level. Reports were published in the collection of scientific works of the conference.
Targets of the conference are:
- to define general directions in activity of higher educational institutions in the sphere of provision and improvement of life safety in construction;
- to enable representatives of higher educational institutions and those of construction industry to communicate directly with each other on the subjects of life safety in construction for improvement of efficiency of federal state education standards fulfilling in the area of life safety
- to stimulate improvement of training process, new technologies development and creations in the sphere of life safety provision in construction;
- to extend professional competence of students and level of skills set necessary for making works of high quality concerning life safety in construction;
- to improve training process in regard of state educational standards following and preparation of bachelor and master degree programs providing a contemporary level of knowledge concerning questions of safety I construction.
