For short-term programs (included education) SPbGASU accepts foreign students studying in foreign universities who speak Russian.

Training is carried out on a paid basis under individual agreements and/or agreements on international cooperation between SPbGASU and universities of foreign countries in accordance with the cooperation program.

To study under a cooperation agreement with a foreign university, you must contact the International Relations Division for information.

The cost of study depends on the chosen field or specialty and the duration of study.

Students from foreign countries can start their studies on 1 September or 1 February (beginning of the semester) according to an individual plan agreed with the relevant faculty.

Admission procedure for short-term programs

  1. Issue an invitation (for visa countries)

    To do this, no later than three months before the start of training, send by e-mail (pvs@spbgasu.ru) or provide through your representative in St Petersburg:

    • a copy of the passport (the first page with a photo) with a translation into Russian. Passport must be valid for at least two years from the date of application for study;
    • indicate the field of study or specialty and the expected duration of study;
    • completed application form for issuing an invitation to study. The questionnaire can be filled in Russian or на in English.

    Issuance of an invitation takes from 30 to 40 days and is allowed in electronic form.

  2. Upon receipt of an invitation, you need to contact the Embassy or Consulate of the Russian Federation in your country to apply for an entry study visa to St Petersburg.
  3. Upon arrival in St Petersburg, during the first working day, you should come to SPbGASU with the following documents:

    • passport;
    • entry visa (for visa countries);
    • migration card (issued at the border);
    • academic certificate from the university wh ere the foreign student is studying, and its notarized translation into Russian*;
    • a medical certificate indicating that the student has no medical contraindications for studying and staying in the Russian Federation with a period of examination not earlier than three months before arrival at the university, as well as its notarized translation into Russian*;
    • eight photographs (3×4 cm) on matte paper;
    • financial resources needed for education, health insurance and living.
* Translation of documents into Russian is carried out at the Embassies or Consulates of the Russian Federation in the country of issue of documents or at notary offices in St Petersburg upon arrival of the student.
