The university includes 6 faculties, 3 institutes, 35 departments, 5 educational and computer centers, a small innovative enterprise, preparatory center of the Faculty of Architecture, research centers and scientific and technical library.

It is my pleasure to welcome you to the website of Saint Petersburg State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering (SPbGASU), the oldest Russian civil engineering educational institution. SPbGASU is the only university in the Northwestern Federal District of the Russian Federation that provides comprehensive training for specialists in the field of construction, architecture, transport, and environmental engineering. Founded in 1832, it has got a unique past, is proud of the present, and looks to the future with confidence.
The main goal of the university has always been the training of highly qualified and competitive professionals who know and love their job, who are able to make competent decisions in any conditions. The mission of SPbGASU is to preserve and enhance the traditions of the school of Russian civil engineers and the unique urban and architectural environment of St Petersburg and the Russian Federation, to ensure the implementation of the national goal of creating a comfortable and safe environment for life, to conduct scientific research and development.
In organizing educational activities, the university uses elements of an ecosystem approach that provides for the practice-oriented educational programs, flexible personalized learning, individualization of educational ways, and the effective formation of professional and digital competencies. All programs implemented by the university have state accreditation, a large number of programs have successfully passed professional, public and international accreditation. The university occupies a strong position in national and international rankings.
All the university's major and minor undertakings are carried out with the active participation of industry partners. They provide diverse practical training for students, as well as sustainable employment rates for graduates.
More than 13 thousand students study at SPbGASU, of which about a thousand are foreign citizens. SPbGASU graduates make a significant contribution to solving urban planning problems in Russia and other countries. They work at construction sites and enterprises, in design and research institutes, representing their alma mater with dignity.
More than 500 teachers work at the university, over 70% of whom have academic degrees and titles. Sixteen are academicians, corresponding members, advisers of the Russian Academy of Architecture and Construction Sciences (RAACS), 25 teachers are members of public Russian and international academies. Over 400 teachers were awarded orders and medals, honorary titles, signs and certificates of various levels for their successful work.
The scientific and innovative activities of the university are aimed at conducting fundamental and applied research and development in the field of architecture, construction, housing and communal services and the road complex, providing an increase in comfort, safety and quality of life, providing scientific and technical services to organizations in the real sector of the economy, conducting non-state examinations of design estimates and the results of engineering surveys, forensic and pre-trial examinations, involvement of students in science and training of highly qualified personnel in postgraduate and doctoral studies.
One of the leading activities of the university is international cooperation. Academic mobility programs, international scientific and educational projects are being implemented, scientific events are being held with the participation of foreign partners of the university.
