Yuri Semenov
Yuri Semenov, a PhD student at the SPbGASU Faculty of Architecture, has launched a project to develop a specialized information resource dedicated to the legal regulation of urban development and scientific research in the field of urban development theory and practice.
The project is aimed at students, young researchers, teachers, designers, and urban planning specialists. The primary goal of the resource is to systematize and promptly disseminate professional information related to legislative changes, scientific advances, and current trends in urban planning.
The platform publishes materials on the activities of relevant federal government agencies, including the Russian Ministry of Construction, the Government of the Russian Federation, the State Duma, the Supreme Court, and other departments. The project's authors monitor daily changes in the regulatory framework related to territorial planning, land use, architectural activities, and urban development. Each publication is accompanied by a link to an official document.
A separate project focus is on monitoring research papers. The resource team analyzes publications in specialized scientific journals, including those listed by the Higher Attestation Commission (HAC), as well as architectural and urban planning journals and professional forums. The materials include information about the authors of the studies, brief descriptions of the research papers, and links to the original publications.
Particular attention is being paid to developing an open professional information space for young professionals. According to the developers, the project was created as a non-profit initiative aimed at increasing the accessibility of specialized information and creating a unified environment for knowledge sharing in urban planning.
Today, the urban development industry is undergoing active transformation: regulatory requirements are being updated, digital spatial planning tools are being developed, and the role of integrated territorial development and sustainable urban development is increasing. Under these circumstances, prompt access to up-to-date information is becoming an essential part of the professional training of future architects and urban planners.
The project's authors are also preparing thematic digests, expanding the list of monitored scientific publications, and developing information dissemination channels. Materials are published not only on the website but also on social media and Telegram channels, allowing the professional community to be promptly informed about new legislative initiatives and scientific publications.
