22 June

22 June is Remembrance and Mourning Day. Early in the morning of 22 June, 1941, was the beginning og the Great Patriotic War, which took millions of lives, brought immeasurable grief and suffering to every family, and left an indelible mark on the history of the country.

Our people won this murderous war, defended their freedom, and liberated Europe from fascism.

We mourn our compatriots who died at the front, were tortured in captivity, died in the rear from incredible hardships. We bow low to the veterans, paying tribute to their courage and fortitude.

Eternal memory and gratitude to the Heroes of the Great Patriotic War!
