SPbGASU Day at Lyceum No. 179

On 4 December, St Petersburg Lyceum No. 179 hosted a large-scale career guidance event – SPbGASU Day. Pupils were able to learn about the university's program offerings, student life, and opportunities.

University representatives told the pupils about the university's history, modern educational programs, the implementation of digital technologies, and the wide range of employment opportunities.

One of the key events was the meeting of pupils with the SPbGASU chief architect Svetlana Bochkareva. The kids were able to ask questions about the architectural programs taught at the university, the admissions and preparation process, and their career prospects.

University teachers conducted a series of educational master classes on topics covering architecture, construction, engineering, programming, and law. These included "Galloping across Europe: a brief history of architecture," "Driving piles!", "How to make a building earthquake-resistant," "The world of automobiles," "Entertaining forensics and forensic science," "City of the future," "Macaroni builder," "Your first robot," and others. Students could choose a topic based on their age and interests, ranging from popular science lectures for senior pupils to creative activities for elementary school pupils.

Students learned from admissions staff about upcoming open days and university competitions in architecture, mathematics, management, engineering and road construction, economics, and forensics. These events allow pupils to become familiar with the fileds of study in advance and offer them the opportunity to gain advantages during admission.

The lyceum students also enjoyed performances by members of the creative teams from our university's Student Creativity Club (SCC) "Kirpich." Vocal and dance studios, concerts, and theatrical productions are all part of the vibrant student life at SPbGASU.

Many pupils noted that SPbGASU Day inspired their interest in our university's specialties and the opportunities offered by studying at the University of Architecture and Civil Engineering. We look forward to welcoming them among our applicants!
