At the construction site of the "Paradny Ansambl" residential complex
SPbGASU industry partners Setl Group and Etalon Group organized practical sessions for students from the Faculty of Civil Engineering at the construction sites of the "Paradny Ansambl" and "LDM" residential complexes. The future specialists gained insight into the organization of construction work, modern technologies, and the specifics of residential building construction across various stages.
Second-year students majoring in Industrial and Civil Engineering visited the construction site of the "Paradny Ansambl" residential complex (Setl Group). Before the tour began, they underwent a safety briefing and received the necessary personal protective equipment.
The eighth construction phase was a key stop on the tour. The students examined the structural framework of the future apartments, learned about the organization of work, and saw a robotic pile-driving system in action. Company representatives explained the use of automated technologies and their role in enhancing the precision and speed of construction processes. Additionally, the aspiring builders had the opportunity to try their hand at plastering walls and laying tiles, gaining their first practical experience directly at an real construction site.
Students of the Faculty of Civil Engineering also visited the construction site of the LDM residential complex (Etalon Group). The first student visit to this construction site took place a year ago, and now the participants of the field trip were able to follow the development of the project: last time they observed the initial stages of construction, and now they saw the completed frame of the building and the ongoing internal work.
At the site, the tour participants examined the building's structural features and learned about interior finishing technologies, utility systems, and logistics management. In discussions with representatives of the developer, the students explored the stages of construction planning, project timelines, materials used, and modern approaches to constructing business-class buildings.
Both tours were led by Anna Tsarenko, Deputy Dean for Educational Work of the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Senior Lecturer at the Department of Construction Management.
SPbGASU thanks its partners—Setl Group and Etalon Group—for organizing site visits and providing the opportunity to introduce students to the practical aspects of their future profession.
