As part of the federal "Technology" project, the Innovations Assistance Foundation is holding a grant competition for student startup development. Each of the 2,250 winners will receive 1 million rubles to implement their innovative project over the next 12 months. During this time, they must achieve the results specified in their application.
The competition covers the following topics:
- digital technologies;
- medicine and health;
- new materials and chemical technologies;
- new devices and production technologies;
- biotechnology;
- resource-saving energy;
- creative industries.
A project will receive a million if it is technologically advanced and relates to one of the competition topics; there are prospects for its commercialization; and the applicant has sufficient qualifications.
The grant will allow for the payment of salaries to the specialists involved and will also cover the costs of:
- legal entity registration;
- purchase/lease of equipment, materials, components, and software;
- registration of intellectual property rights.
The competition is open to students in higher education programs accredited by the Russian Federal Service for Supervision in Education and Science (Rosobrnadzor), who do not have valid contracts with the Innovations Assistance Foundation (who are not grant recipients, heads of grant recipient organizations, or project supervisors at the time of submitting their application for participation in this competition), and who have not previously received a grant under the Student Startup program.
Applications are submitted through the fund's online system, along with all required documents. Applications are accepted until 18 March.
