A New Textbook on Construction Technology Published

The SPbGASU Department of Construction Technology (CT) has prepared a new textbook, "Construction Technologies in Urban Environments." Its authors are the teachers of the Department of CT: Professor, DSc in Engineering Yury Kazakov, Associate Professor, PhD of Engineering Sciences Yury Tilinin, as well as Professor of the Military University (Engineering and Technical) "VITU", DSc in Engineering Aleksandr Biryukov and a representative of the professional community, graduate of the Department of CT, PhD of Engineering Sciences Oleg Timoshchuk (Chairman of the State Examination Commission for the field of study 08.04.01 Civil Engineering).

The textbook examines construction technologies for buildings and structures made of monolithic and precast reinforced concrete, as well as industrial buildings with steel frames and civil buildings with brick walls. In addition to new construction technologies, it covers reconstruction methods, repair technologies, and reinforcement of existing buildings. It also presents the basic technologies for dismantling and demolishing of building structures during reconstruction.

Overall, the textbook is dedicated to the creation of durable, safe, and high-quality building products through the construction and reconstruction of buildings and structures with high consumer properties.

The textbook is recommended for bachelor's and master's students studying the disciplines "Technology of Construction of Buildings and Structures" and "Construction Technologies".
