Igor Titarenko, Svetlana Golovina, and Aleksandr Kuzmin at the agreement signing ceremony
SPbGASU held a ceremony to sign a trilateral cooperation agreement between Saint Petersburg State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering, Luch Design Bureau JSC, and ROMBIT LLC. The agreement aims to foster project-based activities for students and expand the practical application of modern computer-aided design (CAD) and information modeling technologies by design organizations through the testing of specialized domestic software.
The agreement was signed on behalf of SPbGASU by First Vice-Rector Svetlana Golovina; on behalf of the industrial partner by Aleksandr Kuzmin, General Director of JSC DB Luch; and on behalf of the technology partner by Igor Titarenko, General Director of ROMBIT LLC.
The ceremony was moderated by Viktoria Vinogradova, SPbGASU Vice-Rector for Continuing Education.
As part of this collaboration, the university and its industrial and technology partners plan to jointly implement projects and programs in the fields of computer-aided design and information modeling. A key objective will be to develop students' professional competencies by having them solve practical problems linked to the actual operations of a design organization.
"We hope that this agreement will work and help us, as a university, bring to life our plans for project-based student learning," emphasized Svetlana Golovina.
Under the agreement, project activities will be carried out in accordance with the industrial partner's specifications, while the technology partner, ROMBIT LLC, will provide the university and JSC DB Luch with the software required for implementation, as well as technical support and access to necessary information materials.
A distinct area of cooperation involves enhancing the professional qualifications of SPbGASU staff in the use of modern computer-aided design (CAD) and information modeling systems and technologies, including their application in the educational process.
Aleksandr Kuzmin noted that for the design organization, participation in such a collaboration would allow for the testing of new products and the acquisition of practical experience in their application, while simultaneously fostering the professional development of students.
"Russian students, Russian software, a Russian design company—it seems to me that all of this should naturally and inevitably be interconnected. As technology partners, we are ready and happy to facilitate this," Igor Titarenko concluded.
The agreement will serve as the foundation for future collaboration among SPbGASU, JSC DB Luch, and LLC ROMBIT in the areas of project-based learning, specialist training, and the implementation of modern domestic digital solutions in educational and professional activities.
