Students from the Saint Petersburg State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering excelled at the ProSTOmaf architectural competition. The competition, timed to coincide with the Leningrad Region's centenary, was organized by the Leningrad Region Competence Center and the Leningrad Region Committee for Housing and Public Utilities. Participants included architectural firms, workshops, studios, creative groups, and students of creative universities.
Polina Demina and Polina Ipatova, fourth-year students of the Faculty of Architecture, majoring in Urban Planning, took third place in the nomination of "Interactive children's game element".
The girls described their work as follows: "The theme of our project, 'Flora,' was chosen based on the Leningrad Region's main advantage—it's considered one of the most forested regions in Russia. We developed three interactive displays. Each display is a game, allowing children to explore the region's rich flora and fauna."
Daria Bedenko and Ksenia Fedosova, second-year students of the Faculty of Architecture, majoring in Landscape Architecture, were awarded third place in the nomination of "Thematic sculptural composition or small architectural form".
"We're thrilled that our ideas are resonating and winning prizes, including among architectural firms and organizations. We'll definitely be participating again!" noted Daria Bedenko.
Congratulations and wishes of new victories!
