30 Apr

On 30 April, SPbGASU hosted the team defense of the projects for the third annual competition, the "All-Russian TIM Championship of SPbGASU. SVE League 2026," as part of the BIMAC-2026 business program.

The championship became one of the key educational events associated with the conference, bringing together students of  secondary vocational education institutions from across Russia who, over the course of two weeks—from 13 to 29 April—worked on complex projects using information modeling technologies.

Geographical reach

Teams from various regions of the country took part in the championship:

  • Bashkir College of Architecture, Construction and Public Utilities;
  • St Petersburg College of Architecture and Civil Engineering;
  • Smolensk Academy of Urban Planning and Architecture;
  • Academy of Urban Environment Management, Urban Planning and Printing;
  • Belgorod Construction College;
  • Bryansk Construction College named after Professor N. E. Zhukovsky;
  • College of Modern Technologies;
  • Perm Construction College;
  • Rostov-on-Don Construction College;
  • Interregional Competence Center - Technical School named after S. P. Korolev;
  • Novgorod Construction College.

Complex projects and practical experience

As part of their defense, the teams presented multi-apartment residential building designs developed using information modeling technologies (TIM). Participants demonstrated the full design cycle—from architectural concept to design solutions and cost estimates. Participants learned how to collaborate within design teams and make engineering decisions.

The projects included:
  • development of planning and architectural solutions;
  • development of design schemes;
  • modeling of engineering systems;
  • formation of digital models of buildings;
  • checking models for collisions;
  • calculation of construction costs.

Partner support

The championship is held with the support of leading industry associations:

  • NOPRIZ — National Association of Surveyors and Designers
  • NOSTROY — National Association of Builders

The championship's general partner was the SRO Association "OsnovaProekt," which actively supports the implementation of information modeling technologies and the development of human resources in the industry.

Support from such organizations allows participants to work on relevant tasks, closely related to real-world practice, and to focus on the demands of the modern construction market.

Winners and prize-winners

Following the project defense, an expert jury selected the best teams.

NOPRIZ specifically recognized and awarded the winners of the "Best Architect" category. According to Polina Fedyuchek, a member of NOPRIZ's Committee for Digitalization of Architectural and Construction Design, architects are not only key members of project teams but also drivers of digitalization in design.

Awards were also presented to the winners and finalists of the "All-Russian School TIM Championship of SPbGASU" School Olympiad for the 2025/2026 season. A total of 124 schoolchildren from 10 regions of Russia took part in the qualifying round, with 21 participants from 8 regions advancing to the final round.

The following partners of the conference and championship were given special recognition and were presented with letters of gratitude for their contribution to the development of digital competencies and support of educational initiatives: President of the Association of SRO "OsnovaProekt" Sergey Levitsky, Director of the Association of SRO "OsnovaProekt" Irina Kononenko, Deputy Director for Development of the Association of SRO "OsnovaProekt" Polina Fedyuchek, Deputy General Director for Development of the company "WIZARDSOFT" Nikolay Samopal, Head of Marketing of the company "Renga Software" Maksim Shibanov, Additive Technologies Engineer of the company "RangeVision" Yulia Popova, Head of Educational Programs of the company "ROMBIT" Aleksey Parshukov, Head of Implementation Department of the company GIP VISION Anna Velikanova and the project manager of the company "UAVPROF" Alisa Bolshakova.

Benefits upon enrollment

Participation in TIM championships provides additional advantages when applying to SPbGASU for both schoolchildren and students of secondary vocational education:

  • winners of the school TIM championship: +10 points;
  • prize winners of the school TIM championship: +5 points;
  • participants of the final stage of the school TIM championship: +3 points;
  • winners and prize winners of the SVE League — +5 points (team standings);
  • winners and prize winners of the SVE League in the individual standings: +10 points.

Holding the championship as part of BIMAC-2026 allowed for the integration of educational and professional agendas: projects were evaluated taking into account real industry approaches, and the participants themselves received feedback from experts and industry representatives.

The BIMAC-2026 marked another step in the development of this platform. Next year, the conference will celebrate its anniversary with the tenth BIMAC conference, which traditionally brings together representatives from education, science, and the construction industry to discuss pressing issues of digital transformation.
