Exoskeleton testing
The SPbGASU "Smart Labour" training site organized a tour for students and teachers from Anhui University of Science and Technology (China).
The program was conducted in English, allowing guests to gain first-hand insight into the university's educational opportunities and modern approaches to training occupational safety engineers.
The event was opened by Andrey Nikulin, Dean of the SPbGASU Faculty of Civil Engineering and Head of the Department of Technosphere Safety, who spoke about the university's history, its educational programs, and international activities.
Aleksandr Dmitriev, Director of the "Smart Labor" training site, presented the concept of the center and gave a tour of the training areas. Guests were introduced to practical modules on occupational health, safety, and fire safety, and learned about modern technologies used in training future engineers.
The program concluded with a practical component: participants were able to undergo training in VR simulators and also test-drive industrial exoskeletons, assessing how modern technologies help reduce physical strain and improve occupational safety.
Holding such events in English promotes international cooperation, academic mobility, and the exchange of best educational practices between universities in different countries.
