Chairperson of the Council of Young Scientists of SPbGASU, Associate Professor at the Department of Architectural and Engineering Constructions Aleksandra Glukhova and representatives of the Student Scientific Society of the university - students of the Faculty of Civil Engineering Zlata Zolotykh and Ekaterina Buryak - took part in the XIV All-Russian Congress of Councils of Young Scientists and Student Scientific Societies, which was held in Moscow at the Skolkovo Innovation Center.
The congress brought together representatives of young scientists' councils, student scientific societies, graduate students, undergraduates, government officials, business representatives, and the scientific community. The central theme of the event was the interaction between young researchers, businesses, and regions within the framework of the implementation of the Strategy for Scientific and Technological Development of the Russian Federation.
The congress program included discussion panels, master classes, excursion activities and a scientific battle - a format in which participants present the results of their research in a dynamic and accessible way and answer questions from the audience. The invited speaker of the Scientific Battle was the Chairperson of the SPbGASU Council of Young Scientists, Aleksandra Glukhova. She presented her research on the architecture of theaters and concert halls in a humorous manner, demonstrating that complex scientific issues can be communicated in an accessible and interesting way.

Congress participants learned about strategic initiative projects, gained practical experience in expert evaluation of Russian Science Foundation applications, participated in cognitive testing as part of the Mental GTO program, and discussed modern approaches to organizing scientific activity and measures to support young researchers.
Participation in the congress allowed SPbGASU representatives to exchange experiences with colleagues from across the country, establish new professional contacts, and become familiar with current tools for developing youth science.
According to Aleksandra Glukhova, the congress was distinguished by its high level of organization and a rich program.
"The congress was highly organized and covered a wide range of issues related to the interaction of young scientists, businesses, and regions within the framework of the Scientific and Technological Development Strategy. The program included discussion panels, master classes, and tours, as well as a scientific battle format, in which I had the opportunity to participate. This format required a prompt presentation of personal results and a willingness to engage in meaningful debate with opponents, which allowed me to assess both the participants' level of argumentation and their ability to work in a highly interactive environment. The congress provided an opportunity to learn about projects within the strategic initiative, gain practical experience in expert evaluation of RSF applications, and undergo cognitive testing as part of the mental GTO (Ready for Labor and Defense) program. A high level of engagement was noted among representatives of young scientists' councils, student scientific societies, graduate students, and undergraduates. As a result of participation, a number of new professional contacts were formed and up-to-date data was obtained on modern approaches to organizing scientific work and tools for supporting young researchers. The experience gained will be used in future teaching and methodological activities."
Ekaterina Buryak noted that the congress became an effective platform for professional communication and exchange of experience.
"The Congress of Young Scientists' Councils and Student Scientific Societies provided an excellent platform for experts and participants to connect, share experiences, and learn about colleagues' research. I really enjoyed the extensive program of events, including discussions, master classes, and excursions. I had the opportunity to learn more about the strategic initiative's projects, try my hand at being an RSF expert, and evaluate my cognitive functions in the mental GTO test. After the congress, I felt energized for new scientific research!"
According to Zlata Zolotykh, participation in the event became a source of new knowledge, inspiration, and motivation for further scientific work.
"This congress was a true scientific celebration for me! With a vibrant program, lively discussions, and fantastic workshops, the days flew by. I gained a wealth of new knowledge, made useful connections, gained new ideas, and even more confidence in myself and my abilities. Each discussion was thought-provoking, and each workshop a new tool for my work. This is a great start to new achievements!"
The participation of SPbGASU representatives in the XIV All-Russian Congress of Young Scientists' Councils and Student Scientific Societies was an important step in developing scientific cooperation, exchanging experiences, and promoting young scientists. The acquired knowledge, new professional contacts, and practical skills will contribute to the further development of the university's research activities.
