On 20–21 November, 2025, the Belarusian National Technical University (BNTU), with the participation of JSC Research Institute Stroyekonomika, held the II International Scientific and Technical Conference “Engineering Economics” in Minsk, bringing together representatives of leading universities and industrial organizations from Russia, Belarus, and Kazakhstan.

SPbGASU was represented at the conference by Oksana Karnaukhova, Deputy Dean for Educational Work of the Faculty of Forensics and Law in Construction and Transport, PhD of Juridical Sciences; Roman Motylev, Head of the Department of Construction Management, Associate Professor, and PhD of Engineering Sciences; and Eduard Simonenko, Master's Student in the Department of Construction Management. Representatives of SPbGASU Faculty of Civil Engineering presented a joint report on current issues of major repairs of industrial buildings, highlighting contemporary problems of operation, condition assessment, and optimization of repair measures.

During the professional communication and exchange of experience, constructive negotiations took place with the Dean of the Faculty of Civil Engineering of BNTU Sergey Kovshar, as well as with the Head of the Department of Economics, Organization of Construction and Real Estate Management of BNTU Ekaterina Khmel.

Following the discussions, the parties reached an agreement to develop long-term scientific collaboration between students and teachers from the two countries' universities. Plans include expanding joint research projects, participating in conferences, and implementing educational initiatives in the fields of construction economics and construction technology.
