Anton Kubasevich, Associate Professor at the SPbGASU Department of Metal and Timber Constructions, has won the 26th All-Russian "Engineer of the Year" competition—one of the largest federal professional competitions aimed at rewarding significant engineering achievements. The competition is held by the Russian and International Unions of Scientific and Engineering Public Associations with the participation of the A. M. Prokhorov Academy of Engineering Sciences, with the support of the Russian Academy of Sciences and federal executive bodies. The jury includes leading scientists, academicians of the Russian Academy of Sciences, and heads of research organizations and large industrial enterprises.

In 2025, more than 70,000 specialists from 58 regions of Russia participated in the competition. Following the two rounds, 396 laureates were selected. Anton Kubasevich was recognized in the "Young Engineering Art" category in the "Engineering and Construction" category. He attended the awards ceremony in Moscow.

Anton Kubasevich's research focuses on the performance of damaged steel constructions and the development and implementation of probabilistic methods for calculating load-bearing building structures to improve the reliability and safety of capital construction projects.

The victory of a SPbGASU representative in the all-Russian competition serves as confirmation of the high level of the university's scientific school in the field of building structures and the significant contribution of our university to the development of engineering education and technology.

We congratulate Anton Evgenievich on this high professional recognition and wish him continued scientific achievements!
