Results of the FQW Competition in Technology of Transport Processes
have been summed up at SPbGASU
The All-Russian competition of final qualifying works among Bachelor’s and Master’s degree students specializing in Technology of Transport Processes (programmes of study 23.03.01 and 23.04.01) has been held since 2007 by the decision of the Educational and Methodological Association of Russian higher education institutions providing training in the field of transport and technological machines and complexes. The purpose of the competition is enhancing the quality of professional training in automobile transport management.
Traditionally, one of the competition rounds is organized at the SPbGASU Faculty of Automobile and Road Building. This year, the Department of Transport Systems hosted the final stage of the competition, which took place on November 23–25 in a distance format.
The competition jury has reviewed 98 final qualifying works (FQW) submitted by Bachelor’s degree students from 27 universities and 35 Master’s papers from 17 universities.
“We strive to expand the geography of the competition every year, so that representatives of participating universities would like to come back to us,” said Olga Popova, Associate Professor of the SPbGASU Department of Transport Systems.
The FQWs submitted for evaluation covered a range of topics related to the organization of passenger and freight carriages, transport infrastructure development, transport and warehousing logistics. SPbGASU was represented by three Bachelor’s FQWs and three Master’s qualifying papers, all of which have become the competition’s award winners.
To determine the winners, the jury assessed the depth of the subject analysis, the novelty and potential implementation of the results, fundamentality and approbation of the work results, and the quality of its design.
