On September 18, 2015 there was held the first Forum of the Ministry of education and science of the Russian Federation in information cooperation in education and science. The forum is aimed at creation of an environment for consolidation of information capacities of the higher education institutions supervised by the Ministry of education and science of the Russian Federation, executive authorities of the Russian Federation constituent territories, executing management in education, and Russian mass media for support of information transparency and contribution into realization of state politics in the sphere of higher education and science via improvement of information cooperation.

The plenary session was started by the Minister of education and science of the Russian Federation Dmitry V. Livanov. In his speech he paid particular attention to that today we live in an enormous ocean of information, and one of the priority tasks of the press services of the higher education institutions and other mass media representatives is to navigate in this ocean. Participants of the Forum were also greeted by the director of the Department of press service and information of the Government Mikhail A. Buben, vice-director of the Department of press service and information of the President of the Russian Federation Andrey V. Varlamov, director of the Department of information politics of the Ministry of education and science of the Russian Federation Anna A. Usacheva. 

After the plenary session the Forum continued working within sections: “Provision of information transparency of higher education institutions and executive authorities of the Russian Federation constituent territories executing management in the sphere of education”, “Social networks as a space for efficient information support of state politics events in the sphere of education”, “Regional and local mass media: higher education institutions and education management authorities”, “Social and politic mass media and information agencies – tactics and strategy in the information space”, “Press service: art and technology, law and ethics works”.
