On 15 October, a round table titled "Information modeling as a foundation for data management in restoration processes" was held in Moscow as part of the "Power of the Platform" forum. The event took place under the auspices of the "Preservation of Architectural Heritage" consortium, which is coordinated by the Saint Petersburg State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering.

The "Preservation of Architectural Heritage" consortium was established to unite the efforts of educational institutions, government authorities, and industry partners in the fields of restoration and the preservation of historic structures, the advancement of scientific research, the development of educational programs, and the implementation of innovative technologies.

The main topic of the round table was the application of digital technologies—including information modeling and laser scanning—to architectural and engineering restoration projects. Participants explored how digital tools can be used to manage data on cultural heritage sites and improve the efficiency of restoration processes.

Denis Nizhegorodtsev, Director of the SPbGASU Educational Center for Digital Competence, delivered a presentation titled "The concept of applying digital technologies to various restoration tasks (as Illustrated by the 'Digital revival of architectural heritage sites in the Leningrad Region' project)."

Representatives from design firms, Peter the Great St Petersburg Polytechnic University, and the Russian University of Transport also took part in the discussion. Topics covered included the use of digital technologies by designers and clients, the forecasting of fire safety characteristics for cultural heritage sites, and the creation of digital twins for station complexes.

Following the round table, the participants drafted a resolution containing proposals for the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation regarding the development of recommendations and standards for the use of digital technologies in restoration work.
