On 21 November, the results of the VIII International Golden Trezzini Architectural Design Awards were announced. This season was once again a success for the Saint Petersburg State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering: students and a faculty member from SPbGASU received three awards in the competition's prestigious categories.
One of the winners was the work "Rhythm of Time", created by students of the Faculty of Architecture Dang Van Hung and Nina Maslikova under the supervision of Associate Professor at the Department of Architectural Design Oleg Fedorov.
The project is a contemporary public space in the Leningrad Region. Young architects developed a mobile structure, "Park Leto," which can be moved between various locations in the region. The jury noted the project's harmonious blend of historical context and contemporary needs, as well as the fact that it is the only completed student project among the award's entrants.

In an interview, students shared their impressions:
"We didn't expect to win—the competition was fierce, and all the projects were great," shared Nina Maslikova. "For us, this award is the first step in our careers. We were even recommended to open a joint workshop—perhaps we will do that in the future."
Another award went to the project for the restoration and adaptation of the Narva Flax and Jute Factory complex and the renovation of the Parusinka site. The project was completed by Aleksey Volkov, a master's student, and an expert at the SPbGASU Educational Center for Project-Based Learning, under the supervision of Nadezhda Akulova, PhD of Architecture, and the Associate Professor at the Department of Architectural and Urban-Planning Heritage. The jury highly praised the careful approach to preserving the industrial heritage and the thoughtful concept for integrating the site into the modern urban environment.

"Winning the Golden Trezzini Award is the honor of standing shoulder to shoulder with the masters of our profession. I am grateful to the jury and the award's organizers for the new student category, in which I won—'Best Student Restoration and Reconstruction Project,' as it promotes the importance of preserving cultural heritage sites among young professionals and reminds us that if we don't work in this direction, one day we'll be forced to undertake projects not to restore monuments, but to reconstruct them," Aleksey Volkov shared his emotions.
The third prize went to Aleksandr Gorshkov, Associate Professor at the SPbGASU Department of Architectural and Urban-Planning Heritage, for his project "Chapel of St Ksenia," executed using hand-painted techniques. The work was distinguished by its artistic expressiveness, attention to detail, and deep respect for the traditions of Orthodox architecture.

Acting Dean of the Faculty of Architecture, Associate Professor, and PhD of Architecture Andrey Surovenkov congratulated the winners:
"I'm happy for both my students and my colleagues. The fact that both students and teachers are receiving such a prestigious award speaks to the continuity of education, the importance of tradition, and the effectiveness of the teaching methods that have developed over the nearly two-hundred-year history of our university. Winning the Golden Trezzini award confirms the high level of training of future architects and the importance of Russian architectural traditions."
The works of our laureates have received recognition from the international professional community and will be included in the museum's award collection.
