From 7 to 28 October, the annual VIII All-Russian Online Financial Literacy Test, organized by the Central Bank of Russia, was held across the country. The event aims to systematically assess and improve knowledge and skills in personal finance. Participants were asked to select several topics for testing, covering topics such as savings, taxation, insurance, entrepreneurship, and more.
This year, over 200 students from the SPbGASU Faculty of Economics and Management actively participated in the educational campaign. A number of questions presented in the tests are covered in detail in such disciplines as "Economic Literacy in the Context of Digital Transformation", "Taxes and Taxation", and "Enterprise Economics."
Third-year student Aleksandr Sidorov noted, "The knowledge gained during the course helped me successfully solve problems related to tax deductions and lending." Vitalina Pchelnikova, a PhD student in the Department of Construction Economics and Housing and Utility Infrastructure, commented on her participation in the event: "In certain professional fields, a proven level of financial literacy can be an advantage when applying for a job or advancing in the workplace."
Many participants successfully completed the test and added certificates to their portfolio of achievements, confirming they had passed both the basic and advanced financial assessments. Marina Egorova, Deputy Dean for Educational Work at the Faculty of Economics and Management and Senior Lecturer at the Department of Management in Construction, notes, "Events like these play an important role in popularizing economic knowledge and developing skills in managing personal and family finances."
