New generation civil engineers
The second season of the "Blagoustroy!" competition launched on 15 September, 2025, bringing together over two thousand students from 76 regions of Russia. Participants were tasked with developing improvement projects for public spaces—parks, embankments, central squares, as well as residential and tourist areas.
The competition was held in nine categories, including three main categories—improvement of key public spaces in major communities—and six partnership categories focused on the development of the urban environment and infrastructure.
From September to February, participants completed two educational accelerators totaling over 35 hours, where they worked with leading experts in architecture and urban planning, receiving practical advice on their projects.
The final stage in Moscow
The competition finals took place in Moscow. The program included educational and cultural events, lectures, expeditions, and team activities. The key stage was the project presentation before a distinguished jury.
The competition selected winners in nine categories. The authors of the best projects received cash prizes and the opportunity to intern at leading architectural firms across the country. The competition's Grand Prix of 1 million rubles was awarded to a team from Southern Federal University for their park improvement project in Feodosia.
The SPbGASU team won one of the nominations: the "Posad" project for the improvement of the social and educational space in Sergiev Posad, Moscow Region, was recognized as the best in its category.
Significant experience and contribution to the urban development
The "Blagoustroy!" competition is being implemented within the framework of priority areas for urban infrastructure development and is directly linked to the objectives of the national project "Infrastructure for life." The best projects may be recommended for implementation with regional support and taking into account the opinions of residents.
We congratulate our students on this remarkable achievement and wish them continued success in their professional endeavors!
