Representatives of SPbGASU student squads took part in the trip “Breathe Student Squads”, also as organizers and curators.

"Breathe Student Squads" is an event of student squads of Saint Petersburg, aimed at active and educational recreation, involvement of new fighters. Its program was designed for two days and included speeches of the leaders of the movement, trainings, lectures, master classes, competitions and a concert.

The commander of the SPbGASU headquarters of student squads and one of the organizers of "Breathe Student Squads" Sergey Galuzov noted the importance of the event not only for our university, but also for the city and the squads movement.

"The off-site mode of the event gives candidates for joining student squads more time and opportunity to get to know each other. Joint activities always unite. Many of our squads' fighters acted as curators - assistants to the organizers who coordinate and work in groups of participants. In my opinion, our headquarters has never had so many curators - 10 people. But the selection for this position is serious: after submitting an application, you need to go through an interview and highlight your advantages. Curatorship is great for developing communication skills, gives the opportunity to gain experience in organizing large events. Former methodologist of the headquarters of the student pedagogical squad "Svoboda" Yana Kalika was an organizer this year and confirmed that such a good practice would be useful to everyone who wanted to engage in organizational activities or youth policy in the future," said Sergey Galuzov.

SPS "Svoboda" Commissioner Sofia Sidorova went to "Breathe Student Squads" last year as a candidate, and this year as a curator. "I know many of the participants and organizers whom I met last year. It was interesting to talk to the candidates, learn their opinions, share my impressions and experience. It was especially nice to introduce them to the life of student squads - to tell them how it helps to develop and make useful contacts," she shared.

SPS "Aarlekino" fighter Natalia Egorova has already attended the event as a curator several times and believes that "Breathe Student Squads" is the most striking event of the student squads of St Petersburg. "In 2022, I went to this event as a candidate. I liked it so much that this year I have already been here for the fourth time, and I want to come back again!" - said Natalia.
