On 26 June, graduates of the bachelor's degree program in the field of "Operation of transport and technological machines and complexes" were able to pass a professional exam for the qualification "Engineer for warranty accounting of motor vehicles" (qualification level 6).

This opportunity has been available to graduates of the SPbGASU Faculty of Automobile and Road Building through the Soyuz Avtoprom North-West Qualification Assessment Center since 2022 as part of a pilot project to combine state final certification and independent qualification assessment. For this purpose, our university has accredited its own examination center and qualification assessment experts.

The significance of this project lies in the fact that, in addition to academic qualifications, graduates can confirm their compliance with industry requirements, as industry-specific qualifications and assessment tools are developed directly by employers. For graduating departments, the GIA-NOK project is an effective tool for independent assessment of the quality of training and a source of information for adjusting educational programs in line with the latest industry trends.

This year, the initiative group included nine students. The professional exam consisted of theoretical and practical parts. During the theoretical part, students completed assignments that tested their knowledge of the full range of warranty engineer job functions. The practical part required them to analyze a real case provided by their partners.

Students had access to photographs, service records describing warranty policies and maintenance records, vehicle registration documents, process charts, and parts catalogs. The goal of the practical portion was to complete a claim form and make a correct, informed judgment about whether a case was covered by warranty.

Eight out of nine students successfully completed the assignments, confirming the high quality of training and practical focus of the educational program.

The GIA-NOC project at SPbGASU is planned to be developed and improved.
