On 14 October, students from the Faculty of Economics and Management at Saint Petersburg State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering took part in the tenth educational campaign "All-Russian Economics Dictation". This year, approximately 250 students from the faculty tested their knowledge in the field of economics.

The event was held under the slogan "A Strong Economy – A Prosperous Russia!" and was timed to coincide with the project’s anniversary. The All-Russian Economic Dictation is organized annually across all constituent entities of the Russian Federation by the Free Economic Society of Russia, with the support of the Federation Council. Its primary objective is to assess and improve the level of economic literacy among citizens, and to help shape the image of an economically literate individual.

Students from SPbGASU are traditionally among the most active participants in this initiative. For these future economists and managers, the dictation serves as more than just a test of their knowledge; it is an opportunity to gauge their academic potential and their competitiveness in the labor market. The tasks cover a broad spectrum of topics ranging from fundamental concepts of financial literacy and the history of economic thought to contemporary issues in macroeconomics, digital transformation, and strategic planning.

"Participating in such large-scale events helps students see how the theoretical knowledge gained in lectures is applied in real life," noted Yury Tsvetkov, Deputy Dean for Research at the Faculty of Economics and Management. "It is significant for us that nearly 250 people responded to this milestone event. This demonstrates a high level of interest among our students in the country’s economic agenda."

Following the dictation, each participant will receive an electronic certificate confirming their level of economic literacy. In addition, all students will be able to review the correct answers and methodological materials on the event’s official website, allowing them to analyze any mistakes they may have made.
