The Committee for Science and Higher Education, within the framework of the "Knowledge Economy" program, approved by the Decree of the Government of St Petersburg dated 23 June, 2014 No. 496, holds a competition for awarding prizes in the field of scientific and pedagogical activities.
The competition is aimed at identifying and encouraging the best representatives of professionally oriented youth to motivate their professional growth, reproduce scientific and pedagogical personnel, improve the scientific and methodological support of the vocational education system.
Prizes are awarded in the following areas:
- humanities and socio-economic sciences;
- natural and mathematical sciences;
- technical sciences;
- medical sciences.
Application is open for:

PhD students, adjuncts, residents, full-time assistant trainees and employees of higher educational institutions, industry and academic institutions located in St Petersburg, whose age does not exceed 35 years on the date of application, having no degree and carrying out scientific and (or) pedagogical activities;
-
doctoral students and employees of higher educational institutions, industry and academic institutions located in St Petersburg, whose age does not exceed 40 years on the date of application, having a PhD degree and carrying out scientific and (or) pedagogical activities;

employees of higher educational institutions, industry and academic institutions located in St Petersburg, whose age does not exceed 45 years on the date of application, having a DSc degree and carrying out scientific and (or) pedagogical activities.
The amount of the awards is:

for PhD students, adjuncts, residents, assistant trainees and employees of higher educational institutions, industry and academic institutions located in St Petersburg, who do not have a scientific degree - 35 thousand rubles.;

for doctoral students and employees of higher educational institutions, industry and academic institutions located in St Petersburg, who have a PhD degree - 60 thousand rubles.;
-
for employees of higher educational institutions, industry and academic institutions located in St Petersburg, who have a DSc degree - 80 thousand rubles.
