The branch of the Corporate Department of the Ministry of Construction of Russia was established on the premises of SPbGASU in 2023 in accordance with the Cooperation Agreement between the St Petersburg State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering and the National Research Moscow State University of Civil Engineering (NRU MGSU).

The branch's activities are aimed at training highly qualified, practice-oriented specialists, conducting relevant research and development work, and strengthening human resources for government agencies and leading construction companies in the Northwestern Federal District.

Major activities

• Targeted training and development of a personnel reserve for the Ministry of Construction, Housing, and Utilities of the Russian Federation, as well as for the executive authorities of St Petersburg and the Leningrad Region.
• Organization of specialized continuing professional education programs developed in accordance with the priority areas of activity and operational objectives of the relevant committees of the Government of St Petersburg and the Leningrad Region.
• Organization of internships for students at leading construction companies and in relevant committees of the Government of St Petersburg and the Leningrad Region.
• Involvement of leading practitioners from relevant committees of the Government of St Petersburg and the Leningrad Region, as well as major development companies, in the educational process.
• Conducting fundamental and applied scientific research on topics relevant to the Ministry of Construction of Russia and the development of the construction industry in the Northwestern Federal District.
