The KGIOP corporate department was established at SPbGASU in 2024 in accordance with a cooperation agreement between the St Petersburg State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering and the Committee for State Control, Use, and Protection of Historical and Cultural Monuments of the Government of St Petersburg.
Main activities
- Training of qualified personnel with engineering competencies to carry out restoration of cultural heritage sites.
- Assistance in the development of new educational programs at all levels and types in accordance with the requirements of the regional industry labor market and the current level of tasks in the field of restoration of cultural heritage sites.
- Strengthening the university's research and intellectual potential, improving and developing high standards of quality in educational and scientific activities.
- Ensuring the integration of education, science and production as the most important condition for improving the quality of training of personnel with higher education.
- Organizing specialized training courses in the field of restoration of cultural heritage sites at leading restoration organizations in St Petersburg and at the Committee for State Control, Use, and Protection of Historical and Cultural Monuments of the Government of St Petersburg, as well as visiting cultural heritage sites in St Petersburg.
- Organization and conduct of seminars, conferences, and scientific research in the field of restoration of cultural heritage sites.
