The department collaborates with field-specific departments of many city universities. These include: St. Petersburg MI University of Russia; St. Petersburg University of the State Fire Service of the ME of Russia; St. Petersburg Law Institute (branch) of the Academy of the Office of the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation; Northwest Branch of the Russian Academy of Justice; Northwest branch of All-Russian State University of Justice; St. Petersburg branch of the Russian Customs Academy; St. Petersburg Institute for Advanced Studies of employees of the Federal Penitentiary Service, and many others.

The Department organizes field trips to the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, courts of general jurisdiction, arbitration court, customs, and legal services of large enterprises of the city in the process of training students and familiarizing them with their structure, organization and specifics of work.

Students meet with prominent city lawyers, leading experts in various fields of law enforcement, faculty graduates who have achieved significant positive results in their professional activities.
