The department's objectives are formulated within the framework of the strategic goal of SPbGASU - the sustainable and balanced development of the university as an educational and scientific center, comfortable for study and work, conducting relevant and promising scientific research and development, conducting expert examinations in the interests of government bodies, organizations of the real sector of the economy and citizens.
Within the framework of this goal, the department staff is working to achieve objectives in the following areas:

The department's faculty members actively assists design and manufacturing organizations in solving pressing construction problems. Leading researchers from the department have made significant contributions to the development of intensive, resource-saving, and environmentally friendly technologies for the construction, renovation, and capital repair of buildings and structures for various purposes.
