We invite SPbGASU students to participate in the International Engineering Championship "CASE-IN" in the direction "Architecture, Design, Construction, and Housing and Utility Infrastructure." This year's case topic is "Concept of a multifunctional residential complex with underground parking and integrated comfort-class non-residential spaces."
Championship due-dates for representatives of our university:
- until 10 February: preliminary registration for the formation of SPbGASU teams;
- until 15 February: registration for participation on the CASE-IN website;
- 16 February:participants receiving a case;
- 16 February – 16 March: solving the case and loading the solution into the CASE-IN Simulator software;
- 26 March: in-person selection round at SPbGASU (defense of solutions in front of experts);
- 20–22 May: in-person final in Moscow.
The championship is primarily open to students in their third to sixth years of bachelor's and specialist's programs, and first to second years of master's programs.
The pre-registered participants will make teams of five to seven members:
- project manager / chief project engineer;
- general planner;
- architect;
- designer;
- engineering specialists (any discipline);
- BIM coordinator (optional);
- technologist.
Metropolis, one of Russia's leading architectural and construction design companies, is the strategic partner of the "Architecture, Design, Construction, and Housing and Utility Infrastructure" program. Participants will be presented with a case study based on Metropolis materials, requiring the development of solutions across various design areas, including architecture, structural, and engineering solutions.
