On 6th December, 2016 an exhibition «City ensembles: continuance and novelty» opened in the Scientific and technical library of the St.-Petersburg state university of architecture and civil engineering. The exhibition presented work sheets created by students of the Faculty of Architecture of SPSUACE during summer art practice under the direction of a senior lecturer of the Chair of Drawing Cand. Sc.in education E.A. Chernaya.
This exhibition is interesting by revealing processes of work. Spectators have a possibility to see orthogonal drawings and to observe how authors search "their” material to show illusiveness, artistry of objects. And the same objects are represented from the different points of view: at the level of a habitual horizon line, and from height of the bird's flight. Also probationers were engaged in reconstruction of not existing now buildings.
All this has been directed on studying an object, to learn it. «Drawing is a tool of knowledge. Therefore, when you draw, you feel happy», - these words finished an E.A. Chernaya's performance.
By the developed tradition, in parallel with the art exhibition a book exposition of similar subjects has opened in the library. This time it acquaints visitors with books about the Petersburg architectural ensembles, which were studied and represented by probationers.
The book exhibition will last till December, 29th. You can see work sheets of students of the faculty of architecture of SPSUACE till March, 1st, 2017.
