This year the Saint-Petersburg State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering is celebrating its 190th anniversary. In honor of this anniversary, the newspaper Za Stroitelnye Kadry devotes its pages to the faculties and departments of the university.

The latest, April issue of the newspaper tells about the history of the creation and the present day of the Institute of Part-Time Studies and the Institute for Continuing Education and Professional Retraining. The issue contains interviews of students and graduates of the Institute of PTS and the Institute of CE&PR.

“It's no secret that SPbGASU has one of the best educational and material bases in the city and the most experienced teaching staff. All this is available in the Institute of CE&PR, – says Aleksei Kamorin, director of a subsidiary of one of the oil companies. “I want to note that all lectures and practical classes were conducted using modern teaching technologies, software products and well-equipped laboratories.”

“After graduating from the SPbGASU Institute of CE&PR, there was a significant breakthrough in my career, and three years later I was appointed to the position of Chairman of the Committee for the Road Facilities of the Leningrad Region,” notes Denis Sedov, “The modern world involves constant learning, and if you neglect this, then you're losing the competition."

“Training gives me a lot. First is the opportunity to change profession, to start working in the field of architectural design. Second, training expands the horizon of thinking and your mental outlook, – Vladislav Sorokin, a student of the Institute of CE&PR, shares his opinion.

“I chose SPbGASU because it is considered the most prestigious university in the field of construction, and the Institute of PTS because I need to combine work and study,” says the project manager, IPTS student Stepan Zotov.

The live voices of students and graduates of the IPTS make it possible to get more acquainted with the activities of the IPTS and the ICE&PR.
