Aleksandr Sergeevich Pushkin's Memorial Day is celebrated on 10 February. It was on this day in 1837 that the great Russian poet died from a mortal wound received in a duel.

The name of Aleksandr Sergeevich Pushkin is widely known in our country and abroad. It marks the beginning of the modern Russian language - simple and understandable, expressive and flexible. There is not a person in our country who does not know at least one work by Pushkin. His oeuvre is familiar to everyone from childhood and accompanies us throughout our life.

Pushkin's poems and prose are timeless, because they invite the reader to reflect on eternal themes - about what love, friendship, honor, freedom, good, evil are. No matter how many years pass, the significance of Pushkin’s works does not fade.
