In Saint Petersburg state university of architecture and civil engineering there was held the 14th Recruitment Fair

On April 29, 2015 at the balustrade of the main building of Saint Petersburg state university of architecture and civil engineering there was held the 14th Recruitment Fair.

The Recruitment fair gathered together leading engineering companies such as OJSC “GlavStroyComplex”, Federal state unitary enterprise “GUSST №3 of SpetsStroy of Russia”, JSC “Lenvodokanalproekt”, Geodesic control network “PeterburgGaz”, State unitary enterprise “Vodokanal of Saint Petersburg”, Saint Petersburg state unitary enterprise “Passazhiravtotrans”, OJSC “VIPS group of companies”, “GLASKEK Saint-Petersburg”, MC-Bauchemie, Group of companies “ROSTerm”, Glazura/Torrecid, United Elements, “Terplosfera” LLC, “SpetsStroyProekt” LLC, “Elita Petersburg” LLC, “New technologies” LLC, Saint Petersburg employment centre and Youth centre “Choice” (“Vybor”).

During the recruitment fair deans of the faculties had a chance to talk to employers themselves and set contacts for future successful cooperation.

Students of the 2nd and 3rd courses were interested finding a company for their internships and practical trainings, and senior students consulted on employment questions and passed first interviews to positions they found interesting. During interviews students could learn about personnel policy of the companies, staff selection and requirements to applicants.

In their turn representatives of personnel departments acquired a lot of new CVs and found job applicants for open positions.

In the recruitment fair there took part the mobile employment centre of Central district, Youth Centre of Professional orientation and employment aid services “Choice” (“Vybor”), representatives of which acquainted students with the city bank of vacancies. Students could also take individual psychologist consultations and recommendations with a clear algorithm of actions for those who want to start their own business.

According to the feedback, over 400 people took part in the Recruitment fair. 50 vacancies among those 110 which were declared for the Fair were closed by our students and alumni. Over 100 students found places for further summer internships.

Department of employment aid services to students and alumni of SPSUACE thanks all those who participated in preparing, organization and holding of the Fair. We hope that this cooperation through the Recruitment fair will become a basis for future successful work in preparing young specialists and their further employment.
