KNAUF at the forefront of innovation
On January 23, 2020, a delegation of KNAUF Company visited SPbGASU. During the visit, representatives of KNAUF met with the CEOs of the university and discussed the prospects for further cooperation.

The delegation included the manager of business process optimization in Southern Europe, the Middle East, Africa and South Asia, Şule Taşçıoğlu; the head of the KNAUF Academy Elena V. Parikova; the head of the marketing communications department Natalya V. Konstantinova; the head of the KNAUF North-West training center German N. Smirnov and lecturer at the KNAUF North-West training center Andrei F. Sharapenko.
On behalf of the Rector of SPbGASU, Evgeny I. Rybnov, Vice Rector for External Relations Irina R. Lugovskaya greeted the participants and introduced the guests to the structure and activities of the university. In return, Şule Taşçıoğlu thanked for the warm welcome.
“Education should be supported by business, and business should be supported by education. Here in Russia, you are doing an amazing job, and we thank you for that,” she said.

“For us, KNAUF is one of the best partners among the manufacturing companies which we work with. Our interaction is exceptionally effective. The university has a specialized department of building decoration materials and technologies of KNAUF GIPS LLC, which is actively involved in the educational process: lectures, practical and laboratory classes, master classes. Students annually submit term papers and final qualification works using KNAUF technologies and materials. Thanks to the activities of the specialized department, students and teachers are at the forefront of innovation in the field of finishing materials and dry mixes. In addition, KNAUF provides students with special scholarships. In addition to financial support, students have the opportunity to add such an important achievement to the portfolio as getting a scholarship,” said Alexander Panin, Dean of the SPbGASU Faculty of Civil Engineering.
“We are proud to work with the university. It is important for us that the leading civil engineering university not only in St. Petersburg, but also in Russia, is our partner. Usually, only consulting centers operate on the basis of universities, but an exception has been made for SPbGASU: the KNAUF training center operates here. Thank you very much for allowing us to expand our interaction,” emphasized the head of the KNAUF Academy E.V. Parikova.
