Professor at the SPbGASU Department of Construction Management Aleksandr Rudenko was awarded the Badge of Honor of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, III degree, for the best scientific work performed in the interests of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation based on the results of the competition for 2023.

The authors of the best scientific works carried out in the interests of the Russian Ministry of Defense based on the results of the competition for 2023 were awarded on the Day of Russian Science, 8 February, in Moscow, at the National Defense Management Center of the Russian Federation.

The ceremony was attended by the Chairman of the Military Scientific Committee of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation - Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, Lieutenant General Vasily Trushin, Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on Science, Education and Culture Liliya Gumerova, Vice-President of the Russian Academy of Sciences Sergey Chernyshev and others representatives of the country's scientific community and the Armed Forces.

Aleksandr Rudenko received the award for the monograph “Technical, economic and organizational aspects of the restoration of military infrastructure facilities” published in 2022.

Professor Rudenko's co-authors were his colleagues from the Military Institute (Engineering and Technical) of the Military Academy of Logistics and Technical Support named after General of the Army A.V. Khrulev, Doctors of Engineering Sciences: team leader - head of the Department of Technology, Organization and Economics of Construction Aleksandr Biryukov and Deputy Head of the Department of Construction and Operation of Military Infrastructure Facilities Yury Biryukov.

In their monograph, the authors presented scientific and practical solutions for restoring objects damaged as a result of military conflicts, seismic and man-made disasters. Aleksandr Rudenko was responsible for sections on resource support for work and assessment of technical and economic efficiency, as well as for certain issues of organizing production processes.

The monograph is of interest to scientific and pedagogical workers and practitioners related to solving issues related to the restoration of buildings and structures. In addition, it can be used when conducting classes with students of construction specialties. The book contains information on how to calculate the need for construction machinery, select and distribute mechanization equipment, handle construction waste and much other useful information.

Aleksandr Rudenko first thought about the need for research in 2021. The work on the monograph was simplified by a significant array of statistical material and extensive scientific and practical experience of members of the research team.

“I plan to continue research in this direction. New issues have arisen that require resolution taking into account the criteria of environmental friendliness, efficiency, costs, and productivity,” the scientist said.

  • We congratulate Aleksandr Alekseevich Rudenko on the award and wish him further success!
