On April 29, 2015 Saint Petersburg state university of architecture and civil engineering signed an agreement on cooperation with Legislative Assembly of Leningrad region.

Legislative Assembly of Leningrad region started attracting specialists of the higher education institution to work upon numerous projects of the regional parliament long ago – since LCIE times (Leningrad civil engineering institute) so that it became a tradition which is still being carried out. For instance, there recently have been held parliamentary discussions on transport infrastructure development in Leningrad region and its impact on the level of people’s life in Leningrad region. While preparing for the discussions specialist of Saint Petersburg state university of architecture and civil engineering were engaged as experts. It is head of the chair of transport systems, D.Sc. in economics A.I. Solodky who headed the working group on evaluation of programmes of transport infrastructure development in Leningrad region. As a result there was developed an informed judgement and recommendations which suppose that a number of documents and notifications should be drawn up to the Government, Ministry of transport and Federal authorities. 

Rector of Saint Petersburg state university of architecture and civil engineering Evgeny I. Rybnov said that the University is honored to be one of the first higher education institutions of Saint Petersburg with which Legislative Assembly of Leningrad region signed a cooperation agreement.

Speaker of the Parliament of Leningrad region S.M. Bebenin said: “Specialists who have such a wonderful professional education are in great demand in all regions of our country in the spheres of civil engineering and road building and other areas. Thanks to this agreement we can attract to work upon the federal and regional projects not only the top-management of the University but also professors and specialists as experts for fruitful cooperation”.
