SPbGASU Retained and Improved its Places in the RAEX-100 Ranking of the Best Universities in Russia and in the Subjects Rankings of Universities for 2023

On 7 June, the RAEX agency (RAEX-Analytics) published the results of the twelfth annual ranking of the best universities in Russia RAEX-100, which is part of the Three University Missions group of ratings. During the preparation, statistical indicators were used (data from university surveys, scientometric indicators and information from open sources) and the results of surveys of over 120 thousand respondents: representatives of academic and scientific communities, students and graduates, and employers. St Petersburg State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering took 49th place with 2.5797 points.

In total, the top 100 includes universities from 29 regions of Russia. 33 universities represent Moscow, 13 - St Petersburg, 5 - Moscow region, among other participants are universities of Tomsk, Samara, Rostov and Volgograd regions, as well as Tatarstan.

Earlier, on 16 May, subjects rankings of universities prepared by the RAEX agency were published. In the ranking of the best universities in the subject "Civil Engineering", SPbGASU improved the result of last year and rose by one point: it took 12th place out of twenty. In addition, this year the St Petersburg State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering for the first time became a participant in the ranking in the subject "Land transport engineering and technology." The university took the 15th place.

The ranking of the best universities in Russia RAEX-100 has been published annually since 2012. The rating functionality of the university is determined by analyzing the following integral factors:

  1. conditions for obtaining a quality education (weight 50%);
  2. level of demand for graduates by employers (weight 30%);
  3. level of research activity (weight 20%).

When assessing the quality of education in universities, such groups of indicators as "Level of teaching", "International integration", "Resource security" and "Demand among applicants" are evaluated. To assess the demand for university graduates by employers, the indicators "Cooperation with employers" and "Quality of graduates' careers" are considered. The level of research activities of the university is calculated using the indicators "Research potential", "Scientific achievements" and "Research infrastructure". In total, the ranking takes into account 42 indicators.
