On April 27–28, the SPbGASU Department of Economic Security held a regional scientific and practical conference with international participation “Economic Security: Experience, Problems, Prospects”.

1. The amount of funding for the scientific industry in different countries (the author is a first-year student of the SPbGASU Faculty of Economics and Management Pavel Lysyak), 2. The values of GDP per capita from 2009 to 2020 in Russia (the author is a first-year student of the SPbGASU Faculty of Economics and Management Anastasia Sheremet)

More than 50 speakers and listeners were present, including representatives of the Government of St. Petersburg, guests from Kazakhstan and Germany. The works of the participants have become a holistic scientific research, characterized by effectiveness and high scientific significance.

Of particular note is the high level of preparation of reports and presentations by students in the specialty 38.05.01 Economic Security, who also took part in the conference. Their works manifest research independence, interest in scientific activity, and the choice of acute research topics.

Anatoly Modenov, Head of the SPbGASU Department of Economic Security, and Aleksandr Likhonosov, Deputy Head of the Department of the Military Academy of the General Staff, conducted a comparative analysis of platforms for analyzing planning and forecasting data. Many organizations, small and large, rely on error-prone spreadsheets and manual processes for their business planning. Companies need to improve their planning and analysis strategies to include advanced planning and analytics (FP&A), the researchers say. This means creating a single source of trust to optimize planning, performance management, and enterprise-wide consistency.

Anna Durandina, Associate Professor of the Department of Economic Security, discussed the topic “Regulation of the circulation of cryptocurrencies in Russia”. Her work presents the main provisions of the legislative regulation of the circulation of cryptocurrencies in our country as of April 2022, reflects the points of view of the Government of the Russian Federation and the Bank of Russia.

Oleg Kharchenko, professor at the Department of Economic Security, studied the influence of the shadow sector of the economy on the economic security of the state. In his report, the main problems of the shadow economy were considered, the types of shadow activities, factors influencing the development of the shadow economy, and approaches to its study were analyzed. The need to study the problems of economic security of the state was noted.

Pavel Lysyak, a first-year student at the Faculty of Economics and Management, prepared the report "Scientific and Technical Security of Russia". In his opinion, the scientific and technical sphere links the economy and science, having a motivational effect on scientific research, which, in turn, helps the economy to develop at a rapid pace and contributes to the conditions under which the goods produced can compete in foreign markets.

Valery Shipovalov, a first-year student at the Faculty of Economics and Management, prepared the paper “Cyberbullying as a threat to the information security of minors”. In modern society, cyberbullying has become an integral part of life, which is associated with the accelerated development of Internet communications. The progressive harmful influence can create a number of serious problems that can lead to the destruction of the psyche of minors, and therefore finding out the causes of mass bullying and methods of combating this phenomenon at the legislative level is an important direction for the further development of Russian legislation.

The department plans to continue organizing conferences on topical issues of modern legal regulation in the field of economic development and economic security, involving students, as well as organizing competitions of scientific works within the future conferences.

✔ As a result of the conference, an electronic collection with indexing in the RSCI will be released.
