SPbGASU started the qualifying championship on compliance
with the WorldSkills Russia standards
On May 16, the qualifying championship for Worldskills Russia standards started at the St Petersburg State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering. Within two weeks, students will prove their competence and professionalism in the overall and team standings.

The competition, which is held within the walls of the university for the first time, brought together more than 100 participants and experts. As part of the competition tasks, more than 70 hours of work are planned. Five competencies are presented: "Engineering design", "BIM information modeling technologies", "Geospatial technologies", "Architecture" and "Estimate business". Groups of experts from SPbGASU and partner companies are engaged in the preparation and holding of competitions for each competency.
On May 19, Aleksey Perepyolkin, Head of the Digital Engineering Development Center of VNIPIpromtekhnologii JSC, will give an open lecture “The History of a Project”. On May 20, Evgeny Kiryan, manager of Renga Software LLC, will hold a lesson "Russian Renga BIM system: a master class on parameter mapping and collaboration." The vice-rector for academic affairs and the deans of the faculties addressed the participants and experts with a welcoming speech.
“Holding university championships is one of the key vectors for the development of the WorldSkills Russia movement. These competitions allow students to try their hand at a profession before they start their careers. It is also important that it is thanks to university championships that new industry competencies are created. I would like to wish the participants victores – everyone who takes part in the competition is already a winner!” – Svetlana Golovina, SPbGASU Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, is sure.
“The projects of the WorldSkills Russia movement provide an opportunity to build effective interaction between the higher education system and the labour market, making it possible to train specialists for the needs of the real sector of the economy, guaranteeing employment for graduates and highly qualified employees for employers. Participation in the championship will help you reach a new level of skill, find a profession that is relevant and in demand,” believes Inna Sukhanova, Dean of the Faculty of Environmental Engineering and Municipal Services, member of the Directorate of the Worldskills Russia qualifying championship.
