SPbGASU students took part in the All-Russian Engineering Competition-2019

1000 students from 58 regions and 130 universities of our country participated in the VIC-2019 competition. The competition was supported by 5 state corporations. The in-person stage, which was held in Simferopol, brought together about 300 laureates competing in 21 categories.

Alexey Gerasimenko and Sergey Tetushkin

Two representatives of SPbGASU were invited to participate in the final stage of the competition: Alexei Gerasimenko and Sergey Tetushkin. Sergey Tetushkin presented the work on the “Types of defects of paving products and methods for overcoming them.” Alexei Gerasimenko’s work, “Analysis of improving the management of investment and construction projects” ranked the second according to the results of the All-Russian Engineering Competition 2019.

We asked the students about their impressions on participating in the All-Russian Engineering Competition-2019.

 – “My work is dedicated to the problem of improving the management of investment and construction projects,” says Alexei Gerasimenko. “An ideal project manager is a person who deeply understands the technical aspects of the project entrusted to them and, at the same time, is pretty capable of counting the money that they manage. I tried to determine how management decisions can be made in construction at the intersection of technological and economic aspects. The paper also contains an analysis of the impact of technological risks on financial performance.”

- “The program of the event was very rich,” Sergey Tetushkin shares his impressions of the competition. “On the second day of the competition, the projects were defended. I attended the defenses in my nomination, namely, “Engineering and construction technology”, and talked a lot with guys from other universities; at the competition, students developed collective engineering projects, culminating in interesting proposals. That was exciting.”

University students often receive awards for scientific and technical activities; they participate in city and national competitions.
