The largest Russian action in the field of landscape architecture - Festival «VII Russian national award in landscape architecture» took place in November, 2016 in Moscow. The gold diploma and the Gold cup of VII Russian national award in landscape architecture in a nomination «Best public non-realized project» was awarded to the St.-Petersburg state university of architecture and civil engineering for the monument project (a memorable sign) to the victims in an air crash in the Arabian Republic Egypt on 31st October, 2015 «Memory Garden», developed by a collective of students of SPSUACE under the direction of the senior lecturer of the Chair of Design of Architectural Environment, a member of the Union of designers of SPb, Svetlana Borisovna Danilova.
The project presentation and defense was held on 25th November, 2016 in the Central architect house in Moscow by senior lecturers of the Chair of Design of Architectural Environment of SPSUACE S.B.Danilova and A. V.Dyomin. The project was highly appreciated by members of the international jury and participants of the action.
The president of Association ALAROS Taisiya Volftrub noted: «the National award of Russia in landscape architecture is a main review of creativity of the Russian experts who define a condition of architect profession in the country. The chairman of the jury Larissa Kanunnikova characterized the importance of the last action as following: «Within the limits of the Russian National award not only display of the best achievements of domestic landscape architecture took place, but also an exchange of experience, discussion, formation of the general approaches, priorities, the strategy defining a role of landscape architecture in spatial, social, economic development of the Russian regions and cities. The national award has become unique and the most actual platform which sums up and sets prospect of a complex, innovative development of landscape architecture as the major component providing modern requirements to quality of the city environment, to increase its comfort and ecological indicators, social positivity, tourist and investment appeal».
