Students of Saint Petersburg state university of architecture and civil engineering took part in business game “Enterprise”

On April 18, 2015 at the balustrade of the main building of Saint Petersburg state university of architecture and civil engineering” representatives of Go Big Company held a business game “Enterprise” with students of education programmes “Management” and “Economics” of the Faculty of Economics and Management.

Business game “enterprise” is game aimed at reproduction of business processes at an enterprise starting with a client request and ending with shipment. During several rounds through discussions, study of processes and interaction between department students had to optimize the work of the Enterprise in order to fulfill the plan of earnings and profit.

As coaches of the GO Big Company Konstantin Naumov and Anton Yaroshchuk said team of the faculty of economics and management achieved the great results in optimizing processes of a production enterprise. During the game the students had to choose methods in so that company processes functioned with a maximum result and quality.

Students felt excited while working upon elimination of defects in the quality of work, improvement of business processes and the system. Sometimes they showed persistence and sometimes patience.

This game gave students not only a very good experience, but they got a view of functioning of an enterprise and its dependence on organization and cooperation of all departments. Students also understood how important it is to develop team work skills in issues concerning optimization of business processes.

Konstantin Naumov considers that great results of the game can be explained by the fact that professors of the university also participated in the game: associate professor of the Chair of Management, PhD in social studies Oksana A. Zhludova, assistant professor of the chair Diana V. Sbitneva. Professors of the chair could watch students not only within the academic process, but also during work upon various tasks of business simulation.
